Features

Move large video files. Review them. Manage your team.

Vidsync is a focused desktop tool for video production teams: no-size-limit peer-to-peer file transfer between devices, a built-in player for frame-accurate timecode review comments, and per-project membership that controls who sees which footage.

No-size-limit peer-to-peer transfer

Vidsync sends RAW footage, project files, and exports directly between teammates' machines over a proven peer-to-peer protocol. No upload cap, no per-GB egress bill, and your terabytes of footage never sit on a third-party drive.

Per-project member management

Every project is its own membership scope. Invite editors, motion designers, freelancers, or external clients to specific projects — leave the rest of your work invisible to them. Remove a member and their project access ends, without touching anything else.

Timecode review comments

Open any synced clip in Vidsync's built-in player and leave a comment pinned to the exact frame — or across an in/out range. Comment markers sit on the timeline, replies thread under each note, and notes resolve once they're addressed. Feedback syncs to every collaborator in real time, and it works for video and audio alike.

Real-time folder sync

Vidsync watches the folders you point it at on every member's machine and propagates changes the moment a file lands on disk. No upload step, no manual sync, no zip-and-share when you tweak a cut.

Device verification

Every device that signs in is registered against your account. New device sign-ins are confirmed with an email-sent OTP before they get access — even if someone has your password.

Live sync diagnostics

Per-project, per-file status: synced, syncing, paused, stalled. Spot the file that's blocking delivery before someone notices it's missing.

Your storage, your machine

Files live on your local disk. Vidsync moves the data between machines; it doesn't make a copy on our servers. Storage limits are whatever your laptop has.

Quality-of-life details that add up

Vidsync is the tool you forget you installed because it stays out of the way.

What Vidsync isn't

Picking the wrong tool wastes everyone's time. Here's when not to reach for Vidsync.

  • Storing the canonical copy of files in the cloud (use Drive/Dropbox for that)
  • Public file distribution / share-with-anyone links (use WeTransfer for that)
  • Replacing version control for source code (use Git for that)
